What a Great website! My parents are Jeff and Carol McCool, my grandparents were Harry(Mac) and Lina McCool. My siblings are Scott and Angie. Just for the record I never get tired of hearing people say " What a cool name". It is definitely better than having someone mispronounce your name all of the time.

I grew up in McCool Junction, Nebraska. I am not sure but I think the town was named for a Daniel McCool.

Yesterday I received an "orphan" photo album of McCools. The album had been found in an old dresser drawer in an old house near Eatonton, GA. Another lady had tried calling all the McCools in the Atlanta Ga phone directory, but did not locate anyone who knew this family featured in the book. Names in the book include Mary Jane and Jim McCool [picture taken 1961]
