Part of Stan McCool's family who emmigrated from Cork, Ireland (in??). He grew up in Topeka Kansas, went to medical school at KU, Doc in WWII and finally settled in Washington.

This is a great website. What a wonderful connection of McCools. My family came to Kansas via Illinois, Ohio, South Carolina, Deleware, and, of course, Ireland. My original immigrant ancestors were Quaker.

McCool and mom's maiden name was Janet Horton, both from Western New York State area. All grandparents have passed away & have no follow-up for tracing geneology. hi, I grew up in McCool Jct. nebraska. nice to see this site. my town was named after Daniel McCool, the general manager of the Grand Island and Saint Joseph railroad. McCool has a population of 400 and still growing. we have a new race track that seats 5,000. this is a growing town. hope to share more info about my town with anyone interested. thanks steve
